Hi Eileen - It was amazing! The trek up along the river is just beautiful and Silverton is the cutest little old mining town, with lots of stuff to do, while off the train. They shut down the train for the winter, this week I think, and go again in spring sometime. I can see why - we were in an outside car and very cold! They have inside seating too, but the view is better outside. Yeah, for hot chocolate.... Hope you get to go soon!
Danish-American camper, gypsy, hiker, genealogist, photographer, translator, child counselor, home school teacher, reader, writer, low carber, short order cook, daughter, sister, mother of the Spud and mother - or is that grandmother? - of Bear our coydog, forever love and best friend of Wally, and last but not least, grateful child of God.
...WANDERING ON A TRAIL OF BEAUTY, LIVING AGAIN, MAY I WALK*...
Is this all there is???... Well, NO!
This photoblog is a pictorial index of our roamings and wanderings. Although we live in a 35-foot fifth wheel camper full time, most of our traveling is done in our little Lance truck camper. -- If an entry grabs your attention, just CLICK ON THE PICTURE CAPTION, AND YOU WILL BE TAKEN TO OUR DAILY JOURNAL, which will generally have chit-chat in Danish and English - for those of you who are into WORDS and all - and many, many, MANY - ad nauseum many - more pictures.

How was the train trip? I have always wanted to do that.
We are stuck at home with Michael's mom who is doing poorly, but I am so ready for a road trip.
